{"id":25096,"date":"2016-09-07T23:11:09","date_gmt":"2016-09-07T22:11:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.megamenu.com\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=25096"},"modified":"2016-09-07T23:11:45","modified_gmt":"2016-09-07T22:11:45","slug":"not-working-at-all","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/www.megamenu.com\/documentation\/not-working-at-all\/","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s not working at all"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The following information is relevant if\u00a0you have followed the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.megamenu.com\/documentation\/installation\/\">getting started<\/a> guide (getting as far as checking the &#8216;Enable&#8217; checkbox in the mega menu settings), but you\u00a0<strong>do not see\u00a0<em>any<\/em> visible changes<\/strong> to your menu on the front end.<\/p>\n<p>Your theme must do the following to allow Max Mega Menu to take control of your menu:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Output the menu using <a href=\"https:\/\/developer.wordpress.org\/reference\/functions\/wp_nav_menu\/\">wp_nav_menu<\/a>\u00a0including\u00a0the correct &#8216;theme_location&#8217; argument (usually in the header.php file)<br \/>\n<em><small><strong>Tip:<\/strong> You can find the correct PHP code to output a menu location\u00a0by going to the\u00a0Mega Menu &gt; Menu Locations page in WordPress<\/small><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Include a call to <a href=\"https:\/\/codex.wordpress.org\/Function_Reference\/wp_footer\">wp_footer<\/a> (usually in the footer.php file)<\/li>\n<li>Include a call to <a href=\"https:\/\/codex.wordpress.org\/Function_Reference\/wp_head\">wp_head<\/a> (usually in the header.php file)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you have checked your theme is set up correctly, but it is still not working please disable all plugins and check again.<\/p>\n<p>You can alternatively decide to output the menu manually using either the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.megamenu.com\/documentation\/shortcode\/\">shortcode<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.megamenu.com\/documentation\/widget\/\">widget<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following information is relevant if\u00a0you have followed the\u00a0getting started guide (getting as far as checking the &#8216;Enable&#8217; checkbox in the mega menu settings), but you\u00a0do not see\u00a0any visible changes to your menu on the front end.
